A Note on Thank You Notes.

I always appreciate a Thank You Note. I never write them. I can safely say, I am the worst in the world at sending Thank You Notes. Well, not safely, cause I don't know the note writing habits of the entire population of the world. However, I'm pretty bad, cause I can't remember one time that I sent a Thank You Note without a female relative or wendy handing me the card and saying, 'Here, sign this.' I have thought about it, many times. I love getting thank you cards. I really do. I never expect them, they are always a surprise and I have a weird love of colored card stock.
J, sent me a Thank You Note yesterday. This is what got me posting. J, and I lived, ever so briefly/intermittently together in downtown LR a few years ago. In that brief time, I learned something that I did not know about J. He and I are so much alike in some ways it's weird. Personality, perception and some basic thought processes. I know, many of you may not see this, but we both did back then. My point is, J, actually sent me a Thank You Note. I have thought to send him one for all the cranes he folded for my wedding. Maybe for all the painting, moving and God knows all the 1000's of things J has done for me. I have neglected him. My other point is about the Thank You Note for the Thank You Note. 'Seinfeld Rules' clearly state that this practice is not only cumbersome and irritating, but in strict violation of CODE 117.35. I agree, but, here I gotta break the rules. THANKS FOR THE THANK YOU NOTE, J. AND THANKS FOR ALL THE OTHER STUFF TOO.
